What is Calmurofel?

Calmurofel is product for veterinary use specifically recommended for cats with feline idiopathic cystitis. The combination of all the ingredients of Calmurofel helps to maintain and recover the internal layer of glycosaminoglycans in the urinary bladder in cats and to reduce the impact of the principal risk factors, such as stress and obesity.

How does Calmurofel act?

Chondroitin Sulphate and Glucosamine HCl, essential components of the urinary bladder in cats, help to repair the inner layer of the urinary bladder and to reduce its permeability and exposure to infectious microorganisms.

L-Tryptophan is a precursor for serotonin, the neurotransmitter which controls behaviours related to anxiety and stress.

Oralvisc is an exclusive hyaluronic acid formula which helps to regulate excess body weight, reducing the serum level of leptin, the hormone implicated in the obesity process.

Composition by capsule

Glucosamine HCl: 125 mg
Chondroitin Sulfate MPS Protect: 20 mg
L-Tryptophan: 37.5 mg
Oralvisc Hyaluronic Acid: 10 mg

Available in packs of 30 and 120 capsules.

Instructions for use for Calmurofel

The capsules can be administered whole or opened. The contents of the capsules may be added to a meal. Daily administration is recommended for at least 15 days, following this administration guide:

• < 3 kg: 1 capsule per day
• > 3 Kg: 2 capsules per day

In chronic cases a maintenance dose may be applied by reducing the dose and considering spreading out administration depending on the development of clinical signs.

• < 3 kg: 1 capsule every other days
• > 3 kg: 1 capsule per day

Storage conditions

Keep in a dry place and keep out of sunlight.
