This Purina cardiac food helps to strengthen hearts with compromised mitral valve function due to its combination of heart-protective nutrients. These nutrients include amino acids, Omega-3 fatty acids, medium-chain triglycerides, minerals, and vitamin E. As a result, it helps to slow the progression of mitral valve pathology even in its early stages.

Medium-chain triglycerides in this formula are an alternative energy source for myocytes, which function may be impaired by cardiac insufficiency. Additionally, Purina Cardio Care contains Taurine, which also helps support a healthy heart and cardiac function.
