FAQ
How to Use
To ensure optimal effectiveness, apply the product to dry fur and avoid bathing the cat with shampoo immediately after application. Regularly treat the cat's environment, such as bedding and resting areas, with an appropriate insecticide and vacuum to control flea populations. For comprehensive flea management, it's essential to treat all pets in the household.
When Not to Use
This medication should not be used in certain situations. Specifically, rabbits should never be treated with this product due to the risk of severe adverse reactions or death. It is also contraindicated for animals with a known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any excipients. The product's efficacy has not been tested on sick or debilitated cats; therefore, use in such cases should only proceed following a risk-benefit assessment by a veterinarian. Avoid application on wet fur or broken skin, and ensure the product is applied where the cat cannot lick it off. Special care should be taken to prevent treated animals from licking each other. Due to the lack of additional safety studies, the minimum recommended treatment interval is 4 weeks.
How Long Does Treatment Last?
When treating for fleas, a single dose effectively treats and prevents new infestations for up to 5 weeks and inhibits the development of flea eggs for 12 weeks, aiding in long-term control. For tick infestations, the medication provides acaricidal efficacy that lasts for a week, although some ticks may not be killed within the first 48 hours of treatment.
Precautions
- Eye Contact: Avoid contact with the cat's eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse the eyes thoroughly with water.
- Handling: Treated animals should not be handled until the application site is dry, and children should be kept away from treated pets until the product is fully absorbed.
- Application Site: Do not apply to broken skin or wounds. Ensure the medication is applied to an area the cat cannot lick and that treated animals do not lick each other.
