Put the vest on your dog as explained below:

(1) - Place the ThunderShirt® on your dog's back and secure the flaps around the neck without tightening them too much. You should be able to easily fit two fingers between the flaps and your dog's body.
(2) - Wrap the torso with the side flaps of the ThunderShirt®.
(3) - Adjust the top flap by pulling it down to fit snugly and make your dog comfortable.

How long can I leave ThunderShirt® on my dog?

Most people say that their dogs really enjoy wearing the ThunderShirt® and that it is safe to leave it on for extended periods, depending on the problem. However, we recommend removing the ThunderShirt® every hour or two the first few times to ensure it fits properly and your dog is comfortable. Irritations or other problems are very rare, but it is always best to be cautious. Always remove the ThunderShirt® at least twice a day if using for prolonged periods.
