Details

If your cat suffers from chronic renal insufficiency, Royal Canin Veterinary Renal with Fish Cat is a fundamental and complete diet that supports a healthy renal function.

You can administer this Royal Canin Renal wet cat food in the following situations:

  • Adult cats suffering from azotemic chronic kidney disease (IRIS stage 2 to stage 4)
  • Management of calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function
  • Prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinization (urate and cystine uroliths)

Royal Canin Renal cat food wet contains low levels of calcium and Vitamin D in its formula. It also features urine alkalizing properties that help reduce the formation of oxalate stones.

Sneak-peek of Royal Canin Veterinary Renal with Fish Cat:

  • Renal health: Royal Canin Renal Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids like Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). They contribute to lower pressure on critical kidney structures and help improve the glomerular filtration rate.
  • Low phosphorus levels: during chronic kidney disease, kidneys can no longer effectively eliminate phosphorus. As a result, Royal Canin Wet Cat Food Renal features restricted phosphorus intake to slow down the development of renal diseases.
  • High-quality protein content: Increased kidney workload may induce a uremic crisis. The adapted content of high-quality and highly digestible protein of the Royal Canin Renal Feline wet food formula helps reduce kidney workload.
  • Adapted energy: Royal Canin Renal wet cat food features an adapted energy content. Consequently, it helps to compensate for appetite issues and to reduce meal volume.
  • Metabolic equilibrium: chronic kidney disease can lead to metabolic acidosis. Formulated with alkalinizing agents, Royal Canin Renal wet cat food will help maintain a healthy acid-base balance in the kidneys.
  • Delicious fish flavor: Appetite issues, including food aversion, anorexia, and hyporexia, are common in cats with chronic kidney disease. As such, the specific aromatic profile and texture of each Royal Canin Renal pouch help to meet the cat's specific taste and stimulate appetite.
  • Long-term diet: the Royal Canin Renal wet food is a complete and balanced diet that can be used in the long run.

Important: Always talk to your vet before administering Royal Canin Veterinary Renal with Fish Cat and follow their recommendations. After initiating a renal diet, in addition to periodic measurement of renal biomarkers, monitoring of blood mineral levels is also recommended.

Additionally, don't feed Royal Canin Veterinary Renal with Fish Cat wet food to your growing, pregnant, or lactating cat.
