Details

Atopivet is a veterinary product which helps to re-establish and maintain the integrity of the epidermal barrier, especially during or after illnesses which weaken the skin's integrity, such as dermatitis.

Nucleoforce is a profile of different groups of nucleotides formulated specifically for dogs. Nucleotides are semi-essential nutrients, which are characterised as being the structural unit of the cell's nucleic acids. Diet ingredients are generally poor in nucleotides. On the other hand, endogenous synthesis is possible, although it requires a great deal of energy. As such in situations which have a high demand for cellular repair and multiplication, Nucleotides need to be added exogenously. For many years, various oral applications of nucleotides have been investigated, given their capacity to modulate the immune response. One of these is in dermatology, as it has been shown that a combination of nucleotides can promote the healing of wounds, as well as the proliferation of fibroblasts.

Dermial Hyaluronic Acid significantly increases the proliferation and migration of dermal fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are involved in the skin's regenerative capacity. Dermial induces an increase in the skin's hydrating capacity due to the increased production of Hyaluronic Acid and its capacity to increase elastin production. Atopic dermatitis can affect the total amount of lipids in the skin's outer layer or alter their relative concentration, increasing the skin's dehydration and allowing for more skin allergens to enter.

Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA-PureMaxâ„¢ is a trademark of Croda International Plc, United Kingdom) helps to decrease the level of itching and skin inflammation. In normal skin the ceramides are secreted by the epidermal keratinocytes to the intercellular space to ensure cellular cohesion and the efficacy of the skin's barrier.

Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) promotes the recovery of the skin barrier and decreases skin dehydration.

Zinc plays a critical role in regulating many aspects of cellular metabolism, many of which are related with maintaining healthy skin and fur.

The plasma concentrations of vitamin E in dogs with atopic dermatitis are significantly lower than the concentrations in healthy dogs. The oral supplement of this vitamin gives rise to clinical improvements in dogs with atopic dermatitis.

Recommended use

Against processes which weaken the skin's integrity such as atopic dermatitis.
