Royal Canin Veterinary Urinary U/C Dog is dry food for adult dogs to reduce the formation of urate and cystine stones. This diet efficiently helps reduce the formation of urate stones thanks to selected proteins with low purine (wheat flour, egg). Royal Canin Urinary U/C includes moderate sulfur amino acid content and urine-alkalizing properties.

This formula also contains limited levels of proteins and some amino acids to reduce the formation of cystine urinary stones. Additionally, it includes a special complex to support the skin’s natural protective barrier.

FAQ

How can I feed Royal Canin food to my pet?

First, when introducing new food to your pet’s diet, make a gradual transition. We recommend you do a transition phase of seven days to avoid dietary issues. Mix a portion of the new food with your pet's current food, gradually increasing the ratio every three days until your pet is fully adapted.

Feed Royal Canin Urinary U/C for up to six months to reduce the formation of urate stones. Feed this diet for up to one year to reduce cystine stone formation and for life in the case of irreversible disturbance of uric acid metabolism. Your veterinarian should reevaluate your dog to assess the relevance of a lifelong diet recommendation and should check renal function before recommending a new diet.

Make sure your pet always has fresh water available.

Nevertheless, before use and for further guidance, speak to your vet and follow their advice.
